Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water

2 Down - 9,998 To Go - Let's Get Ready to RUMBLE!!!!
Also referred to as GREAT WHITE SHARKS 2, err 3 *- Cuddly Useless Little Seals 0

Oooh, that's pretty harsh. Why on Earth would we be possibly celebrating seals getting chewed up by the odd, Oh I dunno, GREAT WHITE SHARKS?

BECAUSE THERE ARE TOO MANY SEALS!

Yes, these cuddly, almost human looking seals are eating their body weight daily in local forage and sport fish.

Yes, these ever cute whiskered and flippered Lards of the Deep STINK and ruin the experience for many Beachgoers and Shore Fishermen.

Yes, these silky smooth loveable creatures are such Tasty Morsels to GREAT WHITE SHARKS its like tempting a toddler with a Candy Cane at Christmas!

In the past week and change there have been at least TWO instances of seals, dead seals, with large sections of the their body removed by razor sharp teeth and a w-i-d-e byte mark.

So now State and Local Officials downplay the relevence of GREAT WHITE SHARKS (keep in mind they are there because of all of the SEALS) and say, it's safe to go in the water! Reminds of a few quotes from Mayor Larry Vaughn in the movie Jaws:

"I don't think you appreciate the gut reaction people have to these things...Martin, It's all psychological. You yell 'Barracuda,' everybody says 'Huh? What?' You yell 'Shark,' we've got a panic on our hands on the Fourth of July."

"Look fellas, let's be reasonable, huh? This is not the time or the place to perform some kind of a half-assed autopsy on a fish. And I am not going to stand here and see that thing cut open and see that little Kintner boy spill out all over the dock."

And lest we forget Larry in front of the media "I'm pleased and happy to repeat the news that we have in fact caught and killed a large predator that supposedly injured some bathers. But as you can see, it's a beautiful day, the beaches are opened, and people are having a wonderful time. Amity, as you know, means friendship."

Ooops, I digress!

This could be that whole balance of nature thing biting (did I say biting?) us in the, buttocks.

We have an imbalance - WAY TOO MANY SEALS. So, now swims along their natural predator, GREAT WHITE SHARKS. I wonder how many it will take to bring some balance?

What is our non-scientific advice to you (read disclaimer at bottom of page)?

Stay away from the seals!

Don't try to feed 'em!

Be very, very caerful when you're in the water!

If you see a GREAT WHITE SHARK Eviscerating a Seal, Please take VIDEO and plenty of Photos and send 'em here!

Oh, almost forgot, then give the GREAT WHITE SHARK a Big Round of Applause!
