Likwid, here is what you posted...

He (Chu) favors high gasoline prices to (among other things) discourage sprawl.

Your post above, states explicitly and unequivocally, that Secretary Chu wants to discourage sprawl by raising gasoline taxes.

Have you been painting inside with the windows shut? Please remember to open them a crack...

If I'm the GOP nominee, that's all the ammo I need. "Everyone who wants to be stuck in big cities with a bus pass, vote for Obama. Anyone who wants the freedom to raise their kids in a nice suburb and own a car, vote for me..."

I, for one, believe Americans should be able to choose for themselves if they want to live in a city or the suburbs. I don't like gas prices restricting choices. That's less freedom.
