I just got back from live lining. Had 2 fish in the high teens and several chases. Dropped one that was probably mid-20s.
The trick was to move off the pogy schools and fish the edges.

BTW, you can do what you want but I have caught thousands of bass on live pogies. I always hook the pogy through the nose. I don't know what that thing is you have on the pogy.
