				Lovely Marriage

Saturday my oldest daughter Alex was married to a great guy named John . It was a beautiful ceremony I must say , she planned a spectacular day at a venue on a Lake here in Ct . Yes I took a half hour out of the festivities to fish before it got dark . No joy but that’s ok the whole time I was thinking of how beautiful she looked and how proud of her I am . So my boutonničre was a large fly the colors of her theme gray maroon and white . I wore it proudly and will save it to display it prominently in the house . She also gave me a lure with the following engraved ( Always your little girl 11/24/18 ) which is also a great gift from her . My Son In Law gave me a ww1 trench lighter . Our Father/Daughter song was Just Fishin by Trace Adkins ( I couldn’t stop crying during the song it fits us 2 perfectly ) . But the best part was unknown to all at the reception my daughter recorded a song to her husband a few weeks before the wedding and the DJ played it during their first dance . Totally Awesome !!! Yes I cried but was so proud and impressed . She used to sing solos in her Schools chorus's and choir's . My second Jess was the Maid Of Honor ( best of friends ) and gave a speech that was so spectacular and was a tribute to their relationship . She was pleased she made me tear up . It’s tough emotionally to be a Dad . Was an awesome wedding ! I am one proud Daddy !!! They are in South Carolina and Georgia for the next 2 weeks . I am waiting for the video to be on line tonight so I can watch it . I know there is a lot I missed . I know they had a great time and Love each other immensely .
Thanks for reading . All you Dads know I needed to share I am so Proud !

				 | Nice Chris. You have always had a great relationship with your girls from my view. A good role model in what a makes up a good relationship in a marriage too. |

Hi Chris,We've never met but I had to reply because reading your post caused me to pause and think about what is important in life. You earned the right to make the post because you understand what being a father is all about and you practice it every minute of every day. Your children are proof of that.
Congratulations to you and your family, and thanks for sharing this wonderful story!

				 | Wonderful! Our daughter was just married this past September. A wonderful day. The second quickest event in my life - the first was my own wedding day - just a whirlwind and was over before I knew it. |
