Oh great, the stock market will go up because there's more taxcuts for the big boys in the near future. Damn election was won by a bunch of "Ned Flanders", who sang god bless America in poll lines. Deficit, expect more because we will ship troops in and out of Iraq. It's not cheap to ship troops and equipment (maybe equipment) to Iraq. What the hell are we getting out of this war anyways? Definitely not the oil, so why are we still there?

People can address the segregation of the nation all they want, it's not going to change things. The last person to win the red states was a "country boy" from Arkansas. Excuse me for what I'm going to say but, the south is damn ignorant. They rather lose their jobs to kids in foreign countries, than lose their moral values. That's where I think religion is getting way outta hand.

Who cares if gays get married or so and so. It's not your life! "But if the bible says it's not right then it's not right, right?" Isn't America the land of free? If so, then no one of race, religion or sexual preference should be deprive of any rights.

Hey, I know I've pushed a few buttons here and there with folks on this forum, and I apologize. It's not that I mean to it's just that Bush makes me so MeeeYad

I do not recall hearing a plan from Kerry to get the troops out of Iraq. Whether you agree with the war or not, we are there, and we need to keep that country stable so it doesn't turn the whole middle east into a chaotic tribal war. I am not in favor of staying the Iraq, I am not infavor of sending our troops in harms way. But I am confident that the offensive war on terror has kept us safe. We have not had another attack on American soil.

Regardless of whom you wish had won the election, I think it is time to put our differences behind us and get behind the president we have. And lets get off this message board and catch the remaining bass.

Yet another person who dosen't understand the middle east.

The middle east is one giant constant chaotic tribal war.

The mujahideen grouped together only to fight the Russians in the 70's and 80's then when that was over went back to fighting each other, they're doing the same now, and when we leave will go back to fighting each other.

We can't change that, its the nature of the beast.

No Kerry didn't state a plan to pull the troops out of Iraq, but he didn't state whether he'll put more in. What we need are a good percentage of allies to help us in Iraq. A few thousands from nations aren't good enough, we need 10's of thousands from those nations. It seem like our boys are serving as target practice for the Iraqis and that hurts because I have friends that are going to Iraq in a year. Atleast in there hopes that, if Kerry were elected maybe they wouldn't have to go. But after graduating from West Point, now it is necessary that they must go.

I think we were on the offensive on the war on terror. We just lost focus due to the war in Iraq. Somewhere out there Osama is parading with his Al Qaeda forces and that leaves a bad taste.

After the war in Iraq is all done with, I believe there is somewhat of an obligation to bring Iraqi immigrants to the homeland. As with all preceding wars, the US took in immigrants which I will use to back up my opinion. If the US happens to take in these immigrants, how safe would homeland security be? Are we actually on the offensive on terror or preparing for the defensive?

It's done - and so are these threads....

PLEASE UNDERSTAND that we are a fishing board and that these fights in here detract from the rest of the board. If you want to discuss one political view as it regards to something relevant to fishing - that's fine... But we need this site back please...

Thanks,

John
