Pete... great easy way to make tail weights... I will give it a whirl... I use my lee lead pot for my belly weights... I use an awl to make depressions in outside wall of the wt hole to allow the molten lead to fill in these depressions and make the belly wts more secure

Even if you pour into the body add a drop or two of super glue to lock it in after the lead cools. The lead shrinks as it cools. I pour into a few of my lures, then fill and put back onto the lathe to sand. Until I superglued a few weights would fly out while sanding.
