better appreciation for fish fishing this year, both fresh and saltwater. as opposed to the last 2 years when i'd be frurious about skunked outings or not producing larger fish.

had a few 30's but no epic outings or trips to brag about. got out when i could and didn't let it bother me. kids are getting old fast, hopefully at least one will like fishing and will want to get out with me in 10 years.

I'd say thankfully the most memorable day on the water for me this year was my last day out, unseaonably warm, light winds, one keeper tog after the other until we just were too tired to continue. It would have only been better if it were my son out with me instead of a client/friend.
