HMS Bounty was high tech of sailing ships

HMS Bounty was under command of Capt Bligh who was
master for Capt. Cook, between both were able to sail (1786)
into unknown waters at time when the Bounty was rigged
to be the most able ship of its time. I have read many
accounts of sailing vessels in storm conditions that were
able to set sail such that they were able to weather any
storm. Most were blown off course but were able to get
back on track. I would venture to guess that with 14 hands
on board that the original Bounty could have pumped any
water but with the modern Bounty and electric pumps the
ship was not able to keep up with the water and called for
USCC aid. Something about the old sailors cannot be
matched by today's volunteers. Wooden Ships and Iron
Men. How many women on that HMS Bounty????
At the risk of being sexist that crew may not have had
the balls to keep it afloat. Mayday! Mayday!
