make sure you give it 24 hrs to dry. you can go sooner but you may trap moisture under the epoxy which will keep turnin white due to moisture in wraps on muggy wet times.I short cutted this way back an had to strip the rod.

Thank you, Beamie and Ron. Will be epoxying tonight. Most needed to be finished is a 6'6 musky rod built for the kayak years ago by DonM at King Cove. It is my go to livelining boat rod. Need to get the blank info as I want to build one spiral wrapped. The other repairs are on a couple rods for my formerly estranged 19 yo son, who has expressed some interest in fishing with me this year!

Yep! Finished rewrapping a St Croix Ben Doerr SS80M for him and threw on an Okuma Epixor EFS65 I found in the tackle pile. Great schoolie set up to get him on some topwater..... |
