For cheap LED's check out coastalnightlights.com Not the most solid construction but very bright and about 1 amp per light. I have their spreaders...amazing how bright and no power drain at all. The beauty of LED is low power consumption.

I spent a lot of time researching underwater LED's this winter. Everyone is getting into this market. It is changing quickly. You can spend 5000 on a single light if you have the cash but most of us can find a better use for that kind of money. Right now I think the best bang for the buck for a well made permanent mount LED light are the Lumitec SeaBlaze 3 they are about 200/per. The next step up are the new Amphibian A12 pro's. about 800/per, very bright and a solid composite housing.
I plan on going for 4 of the sea blaze3's in all blue . I may also toss a couple of the coastals under the swim platform for direct down facing lights in white.

Having a generator is nice. You can run all kinds of crap and not care too much about power consumption. Heck you can roast a turkey out there! I have 2 8D's for my house load and one group 31 for dedicated starting (all AGM's), and lighting is all LED except for one spot light. Once I move to the new radar (that draws about 1.2 amps), I should be able to leave everything on all night with no generator. As much as I want a generator...I know if I get one it will only be the beginning to a much longer wish list of boat crap I want.
