If it's the old Clemmens stuff throw it away. Most rod epoxies are only good for a couple yrs and some will still hold but yellow very badly.The old Gudebrod threads can still be found and a lot of them are still carried by many of the larger rod shops out west.you can find a good mix of epoxy rod finiah at Mudhole.com . hope this helps. I already re wrapped it leaving the underwrap and white threads on the end . I'm hoping the new epoxy sticks to the renants of the Clemens .. I just had a window to do it, so I did it . I put 2 coats of color preservative on there too ..
