That's when the coach truly shines and that's not happening in Indy. Just look back to the Cassel days, we'd do fine and Brian Hoyer would be a rich man next year.

Might be Hoyer if it happened this yead, but Ryan Mallet is the real deal, and will be the back up by 2012, if he is not traded. He needed a year of attitude adjustment at BB's Charm school, but a year of watching Brady and company will shape his future.

Ronnie forgets that this already happened. Luckily we had Cassel and not Carson Pickoff. Oh, and we had Belechick not ??? whoever is coaching Cokeland.

Question is, do the Colts take Luck if they get the #1 pick? Groom him for a year or two under Peyton? Or bank on Manning coming back healthy, and trade that pick to Miami, Seattle, or one of the other teams that's desperate for a QB and will over pay? Should be able to get great compensation to fill in their holes on offense and defense.
With the new rookie wage scale, those top ten picks will be in high demand.
