I haven't grown corn before , but maybe BT ?

i've used BT before on broccolli to deter the cabbage butterfly worm
and this will sound weird but it changed the coloration of the whole plant to the point that spraying it with a pump up sprayer became NOT an option.

i think when the tassels start to turn from white to brown meaning the corn is maturing changing from starchy to sweet is the correct time.

weird , never seen BT have any negative effect on anything Ive sprayed it on ....

this was on broccolli Chef and it went from

a powdery green color to a dark green

ended the catapilla's but some how changed the plant
in a way i didn't like....
