I love my 11' one piece. I keep my eyes out for the one you have. Should have pulled the trigger on the one Mike P was selling. I love how fast it recovers after i launch a plug, great casting machine with a great power curve. I love feeling the blank bend all the way to the reel seat when fighting a fish. The only thing i dont like about the rods is the price tag, the retail on them is outrageous.

Everything is better on the rocks.

Most of the breakage that I've seen has been on the 11' one piece MH model. They snap about a foot above the reel seat. I just saw another one fail there about 3 weeks ago. Lamiglas is aware of this and says they're addressing it.

The 10' MH is as solid as a rock, though.

All in all, I still prefer the XRA line of rods. I sold both of my Super Surfs. I had way too many rods, and it was time to thin the forest.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.

thanks for your feedback. That gives me just a little more added confidence in my 10 footer. confidence is always good that's weird though, when I broke my rod when I hooked my bag it snapped in the same place....

Rob, what are they going for now? When I bought mine a few years back it was on sale at M&D's for around 280 I believe. I thought that was a fair price and would pay it again. My old go to rod was a G Loomis so that is fairly cheap compared to what GL charges for their factory rods( the old GL's were great rods though, with a nice warranty).
