if those are them, a dude showed me a trick for them. Get a bright Blue Bucket and coat it w/ something really sticky. They can't lay off the color blue and when they land on it.....they're stuck.

Guy showed me how it worked and I'd say in 2 minutes max he had to have at least 40 of the fuggers stuck to the bucket

Definitely not those- at least the ones that savaged me. I think Mikey is right that they're stable flies.

Looked identical to a housefly, except with a sharp pointy bit for a mouth. And RR is right, they were slow and easy to kill, but there was no end to 'em
