God. I gave lower Buzzards Bay a try tonight. First real casts of the season. Two casts and a pair of harbor seals pop up in front of me. 45 years fishing there and tonight is a first. Bad omen.

Keep in mind, also, that the rocks near the canal entrance (off Nye's neck) were/are called Seal Rocks for a reason. I wonder what that portends for the canal in a few years.

I've seen some huge grey seals hauled out on those rocks over the years. Usually in the late winter/early spring. Never seen them there once the waters warm up though...
