April 1, 1997 24" of snow in Boston, came down at 3" per hour for a two hour period. March 30th the temp was 65 degrees.


It ain't over yet.

Middleboro had a lot more, I had a tree go through my roof and my plow guy blow his transmission in my driveway.

the previous April 1st storm was around '83

got the first bike ride in yesterday....froze my face off.....it was great at 100mph.......won't do that for a while ....

We have skunks, monks and hawks, and the foxes appear to be feeding the cubs in CT. Probably have fish somewhere in swollen rivers, but they are way high. Have to wait em out a bit.

If memory serves, Easter weekend a month before that storm it was in the high 80's to low 90's . ( if my enfeebled memory serves )

I'm not sure if it was the same year, but I recall a Patriots' Day in the 1970s when they ran the Boston Marathon in 95 degree weather.

Even if we get a late snowstorm, it doesn't last. I'd rather have snow late and get rid of it in a couple of days than have it fall earlier on top of existing piles. !

Daylight savings just made my day
