It use to be like that...now you catch a 40" fish and if it is 20# your downright giddy!

But there is no problem with the striper population...no, everything is great we are well above any thresholds to take action. Oh, don't worry about the weight or health of the fish...and those red sore spots...don't worry about them either, all is well, all is well. Maybe we should increase the quota?
Fishery managers need to get their head out of their ass.

Great fishies, I have some pictures of my grandfather from down in Hatteras NC with a handfull of big slobs and a pickup truck load of bluefish in the bed.

Not just out of their asses, they need to get out on the water and see what is really going on not just sit behind a desk and look at paperwork!!!!!!!

Agreed 3-4 years ago had a 49 1/4 inch bass that barely went 32lbs...

Ditto.. I caught one similar on a Nauset a few years ago.. in October
49 and change inches.. barely 35#......
