It wasn't a threat, I was making a prediction.. I'm not saying I am going to do any of that. I've got a son now its not worth the fines. I will make a cart and go around like every other kayaker is going to do.
The ramp down there has been beat to hell ever since I started using it. Those rocks have always been there. Its not really a ramp were you drive into the water. (unless your truck has a serious offroad package and you want to load/unload at a 45 degree angle!) I never went much further than the sign that said "loading and unloading only" and I've never seen anybody drive all the way down to the water. From what I saw everyone always parked at the top of the ramp and carried the rest of the way.
Again, not to sound like a #^^^^&, but I've been doing this for 3years and never had any problems south of the flagpole. I've even rowed out and around the inlet a few times. I know where to go and how to stay dry. I feel my boat is just as seaworthy as any kayak. especially with Clammers merc on the back. Thank you for your concerns though.

I'm not sure if you saw this sign by the water, but here's their official BS excuse. Yes it has to do with yaks vs. powerboats.
I agree 100% launching on the other side would suck and MB makes it a unnecessarily longer and for the most part, unproductive.

yeah. it really limited access. F'ing cars everywhere in all three parking areas at sprauge saturday. Not even an ideal spot to launch a yak from. one mistake and you are drifting down or up the channel pretty damn quick.
I maintain 2 things.
1. it is a Kayak access point
2. The BOAT ramp is at Middlebridge.
