Good lord, you've got Backbeachitis.(Actually my form of suffering is worse as you inexplicably catch nothing at all while others around you tong away) There is really no known cure for this as prayer, plugbuilding, and community service are simply feelgood elixirs and have no measurable effects.
My advice is to simply state you don't fish anymore due to family, work, and personal issues. Eventually, and the day will come, you'll sneak out the door way past midnight, undetected by the masses, eels in hand, and within a few short hours all will be right again...keep the bag on your head though if you decide to collect photo proof of this phenomenon.

Floyd Roman Nike Jr. Fish!
Finally tossed the Nike Jr. I made this past winter! Caught a small fish in the ditch this am on it! Great action! Very cool plug! Never fished one before!
