Spro or Krok for swivels, which ever brand has the better price when i am looking...
Ball bearings are a PIA in saltwater...

I am partial to Crosslock's by Berkley... PIA to find the right size when ya need it... I also use Rosco Coastlocks they work with no complaints..

really only snap i have had problems with is the Duolock... for some reason i have had a few of these deform on me...

i never had any luck with the duolock either. too hard to open with cold fingers anyway. i like the BB swivels with a coastlock snap. why do you say they are a PIA in saltwater? i like to use a size 3 or 4 BB stainless coast lock. they have a breaking strength of 75 and 100 pounds respectfully. There has never been a time that this has broken, even when casting from jetties.

Spro swivels only when I fish eels. And Breakaway clips best thing out there IMO.

I fished them hard when i was throwing tins... they would not take the abuse... a pack of 12 would last me all but maybe 2 weeks... and at i think they were $10.

End result would be a non-swiveling swivel...
The larger ones were ok but not when the blues arrived.... blues love to target shinny things.

maybe they have come a long way from 5-7years ago but i'm happy with spro's and kroks...

Generally a fan of Spro. Low profile and strong. Haven't failed one yet.

Really prefer ones that aren't loaded questions or sale pitches
