I wonder how the '07 season would have ended if the Pats had a little more gas in their tanks when the Superbowl was being played.
You guys are just pissed because its the Jets that they are tanking it too. ...and trust me nobody likes to see a New York team fail more than me.
With the fact that the Colts have nothing to play for the rest of the season That was the absolute right thing to do...rest everybody and keep them healthy for the games that matter.
You can't tell me you didn't get some enjoyment out of Peyton Pouty Face sitting on the side lines...That was awesome.

I can't understand this as well. At least start him for a 1/2. This looks bad and I can't see how it helps. They'll have a bye and plenty of rest for the starters.

You are quite incorrect! They have taken the legs out from under this team! Peyton was not happy and did not know about this in advance contrary to what the commentators say! He looked like he was going to puke on the sidelines as they watched their potential shot at doing something nobody had ever done...slip away! Now what do they do against Buffalo??? Sit the starters for the entire game??? To play them at all will show them to be foolish as they can get hurt at any time???? Yet if you sit them and they have a bye the following week...they are going to stagger into the playoffs way out of sync!!! This Colts team has had its mojo "F'd" with!! Their fans should be angry....that team laid down and gave up!!!

[QUOTE= that team laid down and gave up!!! [/QUOTE]
Larry, I don't think the team laid down at all. Do you think the 2nd stringers wanted to go in and lose it? Quite the opposite I would believe. Now that I've read more about this game after the fact I have no problem with what the coach did. This is my point, the coach made the decision not the players. All players are coached to be game ready whenever their number is called and they are expected to go into the game and execute the game plan and win. The players didn't lay down but the coach decided he didn't want to risk injury when they have their playoff position locked regardless of outcome. What did 16-0 get the Pats that season? He'll be a genious if they win it all again and a goat if they don't. Gutsy either way and somehow I respect him for making a stand for something he believes in. Excellent arm chair quarterback stuff though!

MC...they are going to lose their first playoff game. The Pats lost that superbowl because they played crappy.....not due to injury or fatigue! You think sitting Manning and his teamates for 20 minutes at the end of a game is going to save them from fatigue?? Come on!

No it shouldn't save them from fatigue because if they can't play out a full 16 game schedule plus playoffs then they aren't superbowl contenders. This is what separates the good teams from the bad. Guys that are willing to lay it out for the entire season and then some. So, do you think Peyton is pissed now? So pissed that he's going to go out and loose the next game or dare I say tear it up and rip apart the next team he has to face?! I'm telling you this is going to be either a hero or zero move on this coach's part. I just have a feeling this is going to keep the team from getting to comfortable and keep them on edge and ready to play. We'll just have to wait and see. It would be nice to get another crack at them and beat them down though. I kinda liked seeing Peyton pouting on the sideline but man I respect his ability and I wouldn't want to play a pissed off Payton with something to prove.

We shall see...only time will tell....I personally think they'll roll the 1st game. Its when they match up against San Diego that the wheels will come off....and I felt that before they lost last Sunday.

I don't know if resting them is gonna help at all. The last 2 years, they rested starters at the end of the season and they lost their first playoff game each time. I say let em play. San Diego's players were good enough to beat the rested Colts the last 2 years and they didn't have rest at the end of the season.
