That form of PVC material is not what I use at work. Thanks for the info. PVC dents probably as easy as wood. It is pretty soft. but it won't rot.

its a toss up of which is more durable.

ive fished the hell out of a few of mine this year and theyre way less beat up then there wood counter parts.

they resist the bluefish teeth much better too. I had one night at Pt Jude where all I caught were 10 to 17lb bluefish for 3 hours and you can barely tell.

its really durable and you dont have to worry if it gets chipped cause its not sealed like wood.
