Well you have 1 or 2 guys build the bridge and then detail cops, traffic study experts, inspectors, traffic cone placer guys, canteen trucks, handy house cleaners ...etc I think thats comes to about 4000.
A foot bridge for 9 mill. That must be one hell of a foot bridge

One might ask, how much revenue for MA business has Kraft helped bring to the state?

He didn't do it with the economic state of MA in mind. He did it to make money. The stadium, the new Patriots Place, even our beloved Pats are nothing but a business and are run as such.
My guess is that this footbridge will reduce Kraft's costs by decreasing the number of State Trooper details required in that area, help reduce the amount of time it takes for people to get out of the stadium and in turn, reduce Kraft's per/event expenses.
If there's a chance to pawn those costs onto the state by claiming the safety of fans, of course he would try to.
If the Patriots started not being profitable and had a weak long-term financial outlook, I guarantee the team would be on the selling block. In the end, this is a business.

They why do States give tax credits to encourage business?

As incentives for the business to come to their state and spur economic growth.
This whole thread, and your above examples concern states giving the business money. Should we be thanking Kraft for seeing a business opportunity, buying the Patriots, shaking things up and then utilizing the benefits of multiple championships to expand his business - just because it brings tax money and people from out-of-state here to spend money?
Kraft and the Patriots aren't going any where. This isn't like the 90s when he threatened to move the team to Connecticut because the state wouldn't give him enough money and the permitting required. He has anchored himself and the Pats in Foxboro now. Rodman is no longer the dominant empire on RT1, Kraft's Patriots Brand is.
I sticking with the idea that this is solely a business choice by Kraft to reduce his out of pocket costs on a per/game basis and displace those costs onto the state. This whole situation is Strictly Business.

Ya Steve !
Up the road where rt 1 & 95 cross they have been fixing the bridges for the past 4 years, maybe in about another 2 years when those friggin guys actually finish, they can hire that company to build that bridge, but expect about 4 years to get it done.
That joke of a project has been a cash register for both Ma State & town of canton police details !

Not to mention haunts me just about every time I need to go to Boston or come home from Boston during the day time. The best are the unannounced evenings immediately following rush hour where they close it down to 1 lane without any warning.
