An update. Apparently it was a 23 year old woman texting and driving a Ford Excursion. Never hit the breaks.

The docs say he will live but they may need to take some more of his left leg. They amputated from the knee down but there is other significant damage. They will operate tomorrow and try and save his left arm. He is absolutely FUBAR!! You military guys know what that stands for.
No boat, back in the suds.

WTF!!!!!! These idiots have NO IDEA the danger they put others in... TEXTING! FREAKIN TEXTING! and now this innocent guy has to pay the price.
