What exactly is a sand eel rake? Because the acres of sand eels I frequently see out on the bank bewilder me as to how one would go about rakeing them?
I'd imagine with a yard rakes you could get it done.. but you never see anyone sporting the old plastic rake up in the rocket launcher.

The rake has a long handle with a head about 12 inches wide with long tines about 1/2 inch apart. You pull it through the sand in shallow water and they get impaled in the tines.
