Yeah and not let a couple of fishermen find a friggin kayak coming in at them in the surf ... then a paddle ... and then have to wait 12 hours to learn there is a happy ending and not a body floating out there somewhere. I'm just glad it's a good ending. But noone should have been out kayak-fishing in that surf last night in the dark - alone.

I know I didn't sleep well last night.

If anyone knows him, tell him he owes Joe and I a six-pack or some eels. That is one heavy kayak to drag all the way back to the parking lot!
