The biggest difference was the percentage of participation and how well everyone knew eachother. At that time we had many fewer members but those we had got to know eachother very well and I would say maybe 75% of the regular posters showed up.
I also think that we planned them better then. We planned well ahead , like many weeks or even a few months and we planned for peak fishing weekends with that being the principal thing as to when we had them.
Now , as good neighbors (and I guess we should to some extent) we have to plan around everyone else derbys , meetings banquets , etc.
Yes I see Smokey and I think his brother Dave l is there too.
I think the Patrick and Mindy gathering was in the fall , maybe the following year. Not sure. its a long time ago already. To be honest with you I thought Patrick had balls to show up and I think he behaved well at the gathering. I thought Mindy was a nice girl. She helped out with getting the food ready and out and with clean up. The funniest thing was how a few of us had agreed to make sure nobody got into it Physically with Patrick. I remember we were convinced someone was going to try to kick his butt but as it went , everyone , including the two of them , were much nicer than expected.
Great picture Clammer.

was there, but too shy at the time to pose for the pic. Remember the chaos of one person coming up with both hands stuck to the trebles of a plug. Met Krispy, TLapinski, and Strider who have become close friends in life outside fishing. This site has brought me close to people that I otherwise would never know. Thank you SB

that was a good day and good times. I'll have to look around and see if I can find a group pic from an earlier time at M&D's
