They definitely take crabs in the spring where I’m fishing – also like using worms or clams in the spring since there are usually less bait stealers around this time of year.
I’ll try a few times this spring in the boat or kayak and if that fails there is always the spear gun the water needs to warm up a bit though before I’m going swimming!
