It's crap like that. The things are almost impervious to harm. Burn them or pound the hell out of them with a rock - other than that, there's almost nothing that kills them. |

If the tick attached, some irritation at the spot after you remove it is normal. With both dog ticks and deer ticks.
Don't rely on the bulls-eye. It doesn't occur in a good number of cases where Lyme disease has been transmitted.
There's no reason a doctor can't start you on antibiotics right now--don't wait. They can also have the tick sent to a lab for it to be analyzed.
