cypress

I agree its a pain...I like the weight its heaver than the white and red...ayc's better but to get the 2x2inch wood I got to buy 2x4's and rip them down...I got the cypress from doc at a great price...I just ripped down some for next year from planks....if it was all the same price I'd go with ayc...white or red for topwater and ayc before cypress for swimmers...the outside ring will never sand off I got some planks from doc at plugfest for 4 or 5 bucks each probly got 15 feet of 2x2 each plank

heaver wood

dad, I tried swimmers with heaver wood and didn't care for the action the weight killed it...I like cypress and the ayc because there heaver, a 9 inch pikie in white of red ceder is hard to get it under the surface..the cypress and ayc float good but not as well as the white or red giveing more control and swimming better subsurface...I may try spanish ceder...
