Yeah I was impressed with your prowess on catching trout thru the ice last week, sh!t you couldn't even catch a perch there. Perch fishing is easy, like live herring or menhaden, that's why it is soooo appealing to you.

On a tough pond you couldn't hold my bait bucket.

Oh yeah, and trying to teach a perch fisherman how to ice fish for trout would be equivalent to giving a monkey a diploma.

well done on the catch!!


and they are a true delicacy;

however, i'd rate fresh Dover sole and
Sand Dabs, cooked the same way,

right up there with panfried perch~~~~~~~
ALL are verrrry tasty and when topped with
brown butter, citrus of choice, and fresh herbs,,,,,,,,,

impossible to BEAT!!! congrats on a fruitful winter!
