Schoolies?!!! I wish. All I catch on my plugs these days is sea weed. But if you pm me the name of some of the restaurants your friends deal with, maybe there's a market for that as well. Thanks.

Don't feel bad George, us lowly elver slingers aren't faring much better. But hey, I'm snagging a lot of mussels..they have to be worth something too.
I had to resort to poppers this weekend and fish days just to get a bend in my rod.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

Unfortuantely I live too far from the ocean to be picky....I go when I can and cherish every moment. If it happens to be a favorable tide, moon, wind etc than I consider that the icing on the cake!

Just yesterday I was able to drop off a rack from a nice fish to the local Asian Market. I was rewarded with pad thai, house fried rice, chicken wings and spring rolls. I chased it down with two different Thai beers to boot. On the house, although I was reluctant to accept but the owner said"you feed me,I feed you." There was a time when getting rid of the rack was the biggest hassle in keeping a fish, now I feed the family, the neighbors and then get Thai food to boot.Perhaps they would trade you in kind for your seaweed Georgie. Maybe use it for spring rolls.
Otherwise , as DZ said you would knock on some doors in RI. I would provide you the spots but I have heard you preach on several occasions that you enjoy the hunt more than the reward. I wouldn't try to deny you the fun Georgie.

To me ,, ,, , A VERY CLOSE tie to what matters most in where the fish will be, is where they were the night before, pending the weather variables haven't changed much. A small network of fishing friends goes a L-O-N-G way. Other than that, being FAR from rich, I go when I can, not when everything is PERFECT,,,, whatever that is.

... it finally happened, there are no more secret spots
