most likely due to a not properly mixed epoxy. this is the 3rd complaint i've heard of diamondite. or, this could be a bad shipment of the epoxy. contact the company. now, you either need to cut everything off and recoat or try another coat of that or another epoxy to see if that seals it. my guess is that it won't.

doh. i was really carefull of the mix on the second rod thinking that was the problem.
What do you guys use?

I fell victim to Mud Hole and Diamondite too

Check out the part where a Mud Hole employee states that Diamondite is not a rod finish, even though they sell it as a rod finish.
Mudhole gave me no answers but told me they forwarded my issue to Swifty Mfg.. And they blew me off.
*Stuff was properly mixed, applied, cured, etc.. I am A N A L about things that could destroy all the labor I put into my rod.
They'll both reap what they sew.
Before first use and after several uses.
