I use 5 rods, some overlap a little in what they cover and how I use them. I love my rods, it took me a lot of blanks to find what I wanted. I just wish I had the reel collection you guys all seem to have but what I have works for me & where I fish.
Needles, light swimmers & working hogy/sluggos -allstar 1087 w/ a penn 460 slammer
Reg Beach plugging, eels pencils, large plugs, all star 1145 w/ cabo 60
Canal topwater- spinning- lami 1321 1m, emblem pro 5500, a great long distance rod, but @ 11' more than 2 hours working pencisl with this rod and I'm beat.
Canal Conv plugging and jigging the slow current days, arra 1205 conv w/ a abu 7000i hsn. I just wish I could get comfortable working a pencil on a conventional rod. The 1205 will also be my canal eeling rod when I decide to learn to fish eels in the canal.
Canal jigging, allstar 1209 conv. w/ abu 7000 hcl
I use the 1209, or the 1145 about 90% of the time, and the others just fill smaller more specific niches better than a 'do everything rod'.
