IMHO Gone Fishing Marina on the east side of the harbor accross the channel from the Montauk Yacht Club is the best. There is a so-so restruant right next door and a better but procier resturant right in the mrain. You can cab it to anywhere in Montauk you want to go. If you must stay on the west side of the harbor, Westlake Fishing lodge is pretty good and it walkable to most of the resturants in the harbor area. Star Island and the Montauk Marine Basin are kind of rip-offs. If go tell them that MakoMike sent you and you might not get punched inthe nose
