How was the hiking in a wet suit? Did you keep moving in it and hunt them out, or did you walk in, set up, and take what showed?

Nice pics..
Looks like you read some books on surfcasting..
Ya some day.
I have one hurdle.
Limiting my tackle to what I can carry kinda seems kinda pointless.

FORE!
It's usually darkest just before it turns Black..

Zeno, great pics, I'm jealous. I wish I could have gone. #^&#^&#^&#^& graciously invited me but I just can't do those rocks yet. Maybe, I'm hoping, I'll be well enough in Sept. Take care Steve. Hey how's the book coming?

walking in wetsuit was fine. After I shed my Hunter and strapped on single Aquaskinzs ,I was even better.
Keep in mind that I also carried a backpack with two large Gatorades ,Nikon D40 with extra lenses ,a dozen extra rigged eels ,spare light ,batteries ,snacks and such
I carried this from spot to spot.
No we did not take what was there. We started each night be the club at dusk and ended up at SW at dawn.We gave a spot about half an hour before we moved onto next.I did however, had some predetermined spots to fish and rocks to mount.
We found fish at each place we tried except one cove.
One cove in particular was ridiculously full of small bass ,or so it seemed until riggies came out.
Some nights we jumped on the path and walked from cove to cove while other nights we walked underneath.I have to give my partner a world of credit. After we arrived on Wednesday ,we took a stroll to SW in afternoon so he can get a feel for the place. Two hours later he took his shoes of to find two large blisters on his feet.He still fished all night ,every night.Like I said ,my hat off. To #^&#^&#^&#^& too ,who I found at 1 am at a point all alone fishing eels the right way. With a conventional. At age 71.
God Bless him.
btw
we did not "swim" to any rocks.Maybe ten feet to one at high tide. Most of these rocks are wadable to.Getting on them is another story.
And fish are freaky there. Its like they never been caught in their life ,they go insane after you hook them.It seemed like they were tail waking in darkness ,kind of like bluefish. And their teeth were ridiculously sharp ,more so then I ever seen locally
You guys have a treasure there
From now I am calling it "Montauk without an attitude"
