Heres my big catch from last week. This one was 49" 40lbs. That was a long bike ride back to the truck.. I also picked a 46" 34lbs and piles of fish between 20-30lbs. Great week. Finally recovering this week on sleep.

Great catch. Only a handful of confirmed 40's taken last week even with all the good fish that were around. Nice going. |

I did not weigh them in for any team unfortunately. Last year on the same set of tides, June 2nd, I landed a 47" 40 lber on a yellow polaris popper. This year, June 4th, I landed this big girl on a mackeral pencil popper. Its been an amazing two years for me to land 2 40lber in the Canal on top water. I wasn't expecting to do it again. I must have got lucky  |

Those sets of tides, new moon June, have produced many fish for many people for many years. I have been fishing the canal for 20 plus years with plugs and have never gotten a 40 not even a 35 lber on top. Got close last week. Great job and luck counts. |
