I don't think it's common for an executive to have their party after their name, it's not like President Bush has an (R) after his when it's reported.
You guys are just PO'd that when a Dem gets busted in a sex scandal it's with a younger woman and when it's a Repub the other is a MAN

Naaaah, he is an elected civil servant, not an "executive" of a private company. If senators (R) get into trouble then Gov (NY, D) should get the same treatment. The press will minimize any impact to dems, they always do. That said I did see the D in a couple of online articles yesterday.
I thought you libs were suppose to be open minded about gender?

He didn't mean it that way, Jim, he meant member of executive branch, not legistative. a legistator will almost always have the (x) after their name. An executive ususally doesn't.

I see your point but they seem to include the (R) when ever I see the news, a quick look found this:
Lawsuits hit a Romney money man

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) has collected hundreds of thousands of dollars through the fundraising efforts of a supporter targeted by several lawsuits alleging child abuse….
ALBANY - Gov. Eliot Spitzer, who gained national prominence relentlessly pursuing Wall Street wrongdoing, has been caught on a federal wiretap arranging to meet with a high-priced prostitute

Frankly, there is a strong liberal bias in the media and this is just a a little subtle game they play to help protect their party. I keep seeing it on TV and it annoys me. Also, when a Republican does a good thing I notice they seem to avoid putting the (R).. watch TV and look for it.
BTW, Kristen's photos in that white bikini is pretty hot, but these days I would rather spend 5K on gasoline then on a hooker...and at my age, I probably would get more pleasure from the gasoline as well.

Mitt Romney was running for the Republican nomination for President. The designation seems quite appropriate to me.
