gordie was probably best ever, size, scoring, toughness and was the complete package.each era was different, bring back the orginal 6.can't picture alot of modern day players playing against rocket richard and players of that era.

I must respectfully disagree. Orr was as big as Howe, tough enough so that after the first few years nobody challenged him any more (except that suicidal Kieth Magnuson),was an incredible skater, stick handler and scorer and was a defenseman!!!!!

orr was great but not as tough or as big as gordie.gordie took care of his own problems, orr has cashman and alot of other big bad bruins to watch over him.cam # 8 was alot like howe.saw old time hockey clips they rode trains back orginal 6 and did'nt mingle and actually hated each other.todays players are bigger, faster, more skilled.saying that gordie at 6'3'' was all of that.don't forget he had major injury and that why they called him blinkly.

In all of those clips he looks like the only kid who knows how to skate in a neighborhood pickup game at the local pond.........Everyone else is standing around while he stickhandles them dizzy..............

Even though I'm from The Bronx & a YANKEE FAN.
I really enjoyed watching Dwight Evans gun runners down from right field.
Jim Rice, I can not believe he is not in the hall yet.

Rice will be in there in a matter of weeks--he's among this year's inductees.

Fans would show up early at Fenway, to watch BP. Not to see guys hit gumball lobs over the wall, but to watch Evans warming up his throwing arm from right field to third base. In a game, guy on first, ball hit to right, you'd hear a murmur start to rise, and if the runner on first rounded second and tried to go to third on Evans' arm, you'd have everyone on their feet. He and Clemente had the most accurate guns from right field that I ever saw, even better than Barfield's. I would have like to have been around when Carl Furillo was playing, though--old timers say his arm was the best-ever.

So it's just really starting to sink in what the Bruins accomplished this year with a great playoff run and winning the cup.
I thought I would never see them win anything again in my life as long as Jacobs owned the team. I had Gord Kluzak on a charter last year and he told me the same !
So with the Bruins winning it all anyone think less of Bobby's career and that he is the greatest ?
Me, he's still the greatest player ever !
He can also add greatest team motivator with waving the Horton flag !
