That's a LOT of fish/handling for a guy big into C&R -
A spring loaded scale requires a lot less handling and is probably just as accurate as calculating a guesstimated calculated weight. Just meye opinion anyways-

Not iffin ya keep her in tha surf, or on the wet weeds right next to it. Try to just touch the lips, with gloves, when possible. What's most important is how well she swims away.
I tell ya this spot of mine is the idealiest, pimpinest, feeshnominalest spot i've seen on the NShore , and she almost always produces for me. the scary part is i've only scratched the surface with what's on her outside.
Mostly quiet about me catches, unless of course it is included within the context of a response .
