Tagger, I do the topwater thing other times of the year. Thats why I needed to work up that spook Those jointeds do well up that way, though don't cast far.

We might get a few days in even in Jan and Feb that are in the 50's, mostly colder than that. Over t-giving, when I caught those fish, it was in the upper 20's=low 30's at night. Ice in the guides can be a problem sometimes. I've fished the lake when its been in the mid teens. Water temps may get as low as 45 on that lake. Water temps 57-58 over t-giving.
