Have any of you guys used Yo zuri Hybrid ultra soft? A lot of freshwater guys love it? If so how does it stack up to the Ande?

BC is better.
As far as comparing braid(fireline) to mono(BC)...no point.Two different species altogether. |

The Yo-Zuri hybrid is a flourocarbon polymer line, whatever that means. I only use the 20 pound test and I don't think it says anything about ultra soft on the packaging. I like it because it has less stretch, is pretty abrasion resistant in the rocks and has a little less memory than mono. I haven't compared it to the 20 pound Ande, though. I use only the 15 lb Ande Back Country and have nothing but good things to say about it. |

I think you are using Yo Zuri original. They have an Ultra soft line that is also a coplymer line and it is supposed to be not as stiff as the OG formula and more manageble, very abrasion resistant and very strong. I think the 6lb line is like 12 lb strength and 12 lb more like 20 strength. So its would mean longer casts without without giving up strength.. Like I said freshwater guys rave about it and dont see any reason it wouldnt be a good fit for saltwater. I might have to look into this Ande BC though  |

As a general rule, softness and abrasion resistance are mutually exclusive terms with mono. I'd have to see this new Yozuri line in action before I'd accept their claims that it's both 
I know their Hybrid is stiff and wiry. I took it off my Newell 229 and put 25# BC on instead. |
