For stripes you can also take a piece of aluminum foil, fold it in half and cut the shape for the stripes. This way the stripes are the same on both sides. Now just take the foil and place it over the plug so that the stripes line up on the sides. Spray with airbrush or spray can. Instant stripes, and you can use the same mask for multiple plugs.
