Metrowest Medical Center hosts CPAP informational nights every few months: Helen Brown is the CPAP coordinator (508) 650-7793 : give her a call to find out when the next one is schedualed. It is in the Leonard Morse Hospital @ 67 Union St in Natick, MA.
I started using my CPAP machine not too long after Hab's pasted away and folks started posting about sleep apnia. The machine is annoying and I find that it works best for me when I sleep in the recliner and the hose draped over my shoulder. Even if I break the seal on it and it wakes me up - I am far enough away that it wont wake up the rest of the family.

I had sinus surgury 6 yrs back, but it didn't help with my sleep apnia.

The CPAP helps immensely and I do feel much more rested even if I use it for 3 - 4 hrs a nite.
Sometimes weight gain can bring on sleep apnia. I know when I was a lot thinner back in my high school days, I STILL snored big time.
The Sona Pillow sounds like an interesting alternative. I'll have to give it a try. This way I get to stay in my own bed and be harassed by the two darn cats.
