Baby carriages had those big wheel, and canopy's
Four quarts of milk for a buck
Beer cans needed an opener
Sneakers didn't have to cost an arm and a leg
Captain Kangaroo, was a BLAST!
Maverick jeans were cool
and no prewashed, stone wash
There were butcher shops
soda fountains, in the corner drug store
bakeries in the neightborhood, (NYC)
The subway was .15
The Mac buses, with no a/c
42nd street was the pits
and when I started smokin' back in '74
a pack of butts was .49 .

Be encouraging, not discouraging
