$500K and a 1st and 3rd draft pick in 2008
"coach Bill Belichick was fined the NFL maximum of $500,000 Thursday and the Patriots were ordered to pay $250,000 for spying on an opponent's defensive signals.
The commissioner also ordered the team to give up next year's first-round draft choice if it reaches the playoffs and second- and third-round picks if it doesn't."
I think we're going to make it just fine, now I hope the best for San Fran this year

I take that back, we get to keep the 49er's 1st rounder. I wish them the worst.
The arguement I have for the punishment is, Belichick could leave the Pats and we'd be without the draft picks and he could be at a new club with all their picks.
