Verizon does'nt do Ala Carte to my knowledge. They also don't charge you extra for digital content. I don't do billing, just installation, and maintainence. It's new, and there a re bound to be glitches, and bumps in the road, but it will get better.
Gone fishing you can get a battery at any electrical supply that sells alarm equipment. If you are really having trouble finding one pm me. Just so you know, the battery is warrantied for 1 year, and then it is the customers responsibility. We were never told that it should last 3-4 years, but I am not saying that someone did not tell you that,that being said we don't know how long they sit on a shelf in a warehouse either. Also know that the Phone company spends an average of 2,500.00 per customer to get you this service, and you pay nothing for the Optical Network Terminal, Battery Backup Unit, Power Supply, or wireless networking router. You also pay nothing for the installation.

Gonefishin, I don't know why they told you you have to pay for the battery  maybe the person you spoke to was misinformed. The guy that installed ours said they replace them free, he even said he could give me one. |

Bruce after the year is up they are supposed to charge you for the battery, that being said there are plenty of guys who are sympathetic to the needs of the customer  |
