The speeds currently offered are 5/2 mbs, 20/5, and 50/10. Bruce the inside wire maintence will save you 95 bucks for a service call if the trouble is inside the house, but since you know a phoneguy.....
BTW the tech support for DSL maybe in India, but the tech Support for Fios is here, they actually have an office in Providence, Virginia, California, and Texas, that was a union negotiated thing with the FIOS.
