I have a 120 1l it is a fast action rod but will throw what you want. i use mine from sluggos to plugs up to 3 oz not cut down. It,s my all around rod. For a 9 ft the rainshadow 1088 is sweet for the same purpose maybe better. hope this helps.

SJ1-thx. I ran a search on the blank before and most people that have really like the rod. I know some guys here have cut it back.I like a 9'0 one or close to it. just looking to see what everyone thinks as far as cutting it back.
